Do you enjoy solving a wide variety of interesting challenges and problems? Are you approachable and self-motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude?

Winchcombe School (part of the Balcarras Trust) is looking for an ICT Technician to help the Network Manager provide IT support to staff and students. You will be educated to ‘A’ Level standard or equivalent, ideally with a degree in an ICT-related subject or with relevant experience in the provision of IT support.

Full details of the main duties and responsibilities of the post-holder are listed on Winchcombe School’s website together with a Person Specification.

The post is full time - 37 hours per week term-time, suggested working hours Monday – Thursday 8am – 4.30pm and 8am – 4pm Friday with an hour’s lunch break each day. This is however flexible, by arrangement with the Network Manager and we would also consider applications for part time working.

Our school’s motto is ‘Aspire for Success’ – we aim to ensure that all students reach their full potential. Our community ethos works to nurture our students (11-16 mixed comprehensive) to develop into confident individuals. Ofsted graded us as a ‘Good’ school in all areas in March 2022, praising our high expectations, students’ calm and purposeful behaviour and professional development for staff.

Winchcombe School is set in beautiful Cotswold countryside approximately 1/2 mile from the town centre. Cheltenham is 7 miles away with bus links. We offer free parking on site, with EVC facilities available, or for cyclists, we operate the Cycle to Work scheme with assisted purchase of bicycles through salary deduction.
