Welcome

A message from the headteachers -

"In the time we have been here, we have witnessed so much kindness and energy amongst the pupils, staff and community. It is clear that the three core values of ‘Wisdom, Kindness and Courage’ are abundant and are the foundation for all learning.

Based on the Parable of the Sower, it is our aspiration that our school be the ‘good earth’ for all our stakeholders: to always provide an environment that will enable everyone in our community, irrespective of circumstance, to thrive."

About Us

e.jpg

Winsley Primary School is proud to be a Church School and works closely with both the Diocese of Salisbury and our local church (St Nicholas) for the greater good of our local community and further afield. Everyone is welcome in our school, regardless of whether you or your child have a faith or identify as being a Christian or not. In our school we have multiple faiths and beliefs which are celebrated!

Our curriculum recognises children’s prior learning and life experiences; provides opportunities to build on their cultural capital; develops children’s social and communication skills and builds resilience in order to become creative, critical thinkers.

Our Values and Ethos

Vision & Values

The conviction at the heart of our vision is that all who are part of our school community formed around our vision will discover an education that embraces excellence and academic rigour within the wider framework of spiritual, physical, intellectual, emotional, moral and social development and enables us all to flourish.

Vision Statement

Our vision is to be an exceptional church school committed to investing in young lives. A school where staff and governors work in partnership with parents to provide a caring, stimulating environment rooted in Christian values; a school with high expectations where all are valued and nurtured as individuals because they are uniquely created and loved by God.

Our Trust

Palladian Academy Trust is a strong Trust based in Bath and Wiltshire that offers education from 4-19. We are proud that our schools serve different communities, some are church schools, some are non-denominational, but together we know we are better placed to ensure our pupils have the best educational experience.

The Trust was established in 2016 and is named after a local landmark, The Palladian Bridge in Prior Park, a symbol of connection and unity.

As a Trust, we know that each of our schools has its own distinctiveness and each one brings different strengths as an equal partner. While we recognise what each school has to offer individually, we also work together at the same time, to maximise the benefits of being part of a larger network and organisation. Being part of a Trust gives our colleagues access to high quality professional development opportunities, gives our pupils the chance to interact with others from different schools and provides challenge and support to Trust and school leaders through effective governance.
