The Opportunity
We are looking for an inspiring, engaging and talented teacher who has the relevant skills and experience to take on the role of Teacher of English . They should also be passionate about their subject and have the ability to teach English and English Literature up to A-Level.
The successful candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional learning experiences for their students within and beyond the classroom, and keen to contribute to wider aspects of School life.
The English Department:
The English department sits at the heart of our school community and aims to instil a love of language and literature in all students. The department is vibrant and forward thinking and achieves excellent results at all key stages. We deliver the Edexcel IGCSE English Language and Literature specifications, as well as offering Edexcel English Literature, AQA English Language and Eduqas Media Studies.
Currently housed in the main school building, the department benefits from easy access to the inspiring state rooms and the impressive and versatile Library space.
The department promotes a strong international outlook and encourages students to develop a deeper understanding of French and Spanish-speaking cultures around the world. This is achieved through exchange programmes with partner schools, residential trips and cross-curricular initiatives. These experiences bring languages to life for students in the real world beyond, equipping them for both academic success and personal growth.
Hours, Salary and Benefits:
Full time position, starting in September 2026,. We are open to part time applications.
