We are looking for an inspiring, engaging and talented teacher who has the relevant skills and experience to take on the role of Teacher of History and Politics . We are looking for a candidate who has the skills and ability to teach across Humanities subjects up to GCSE and the ability to teach History up to A -level .
The successful candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional learning experiences for their students within and beyond the classroom, and keen to contribute to wider aspects of School life.
The Humanities Department:
The History department is a strong strong and expanding department with excellent examination results, being one of the highest achieving subjects in the school in 2025. Comprising of three staff and currently based in the courtyard classrooms, history is a popular subject in all key stages, with increased numbers over the past couple of years in examination classes - particularly at GCSE. At GCSE, history students study for the IGCSE Cambridge course and at A Level, the OCR A Level specification.
History is part of the Humanities Faculty comprising of five subjects. Politics is being offered for the first time in September 2026. The other Humanities subjects are geography, religious studies and Travel and Tourism which is offered as a vocational course in the Sixth Form. It is an innovative Faculty that sparks curiosity, challenges minds, and empowers the next generation to connect with the world around them.
Hours, Salary and Benefits:
Full time position, starting in September 2026.
