We are looking for a caring and reliable Early Years Assistant to support our nursery team during lunchtime. You will help create a safe, calm and positive environment where children can enjoy their meals and social time.

Hours, Salary & Benefits:

Hours available 11am - 3pm Mon - Fri, year round

Contract type: 0 hour, fixed term contract

Salary: £12.71 - £13.25 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Support children during lunchtime, encouraging good eating habits and independence
  • Supervise and ensure children’s safety at all times
  • Help with setting up and clearing away lunch areas
  • Assist with children’s personal care needs, including toileting where required
  • Promote positive behaviour and social interaction
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic environment in line with nursery policies
  • Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and food hygiene procedures at all times

Skills

  • Experience working with young children (0–5 years) desirable
  • A Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification is beneficial but not essential
  • Caring, patient and approachable manner
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
