We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Peripatetic Guitar Teacher to work with pupils on a one-to-one basis during the school day. The successful applicant will support pupils’ musical development in a positive, encouraging and structured way that aligns with the ethos and expectations of the school.

Hours, Salary & Benefits:
Hours: Variable – dependent on pupil uptake (current pupil list available)
Self-employed / peripatetic

The Role:
- Deliver engaging individual guitar lessons to pupils across the school
- Plan and adapt lessons to suit pupils of varying ages and abilities
- Promote strong musical progress, enjoyment and confidence
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
- Communicate effectively with parents, including the provision of reports where appropriate
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, professionalism and conduct, in line with school expectations
Person Specification:
- Be an accomplished guitarist with experience teaching children
- Have a positive, patient and encouraging teaching style
- Be reliable, organised and professional
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Although this is a peripatetic, self-employed role, the school requires all applicants to undergo appropriate safer recruitment checks.
