Witley C of E (VC) Infant School is seeking to appoint an experienced or aspiring LSA to join our team and to provide general classroom support, lunchtime supervision, and support for children with additional educational needs. We are looking for someone who will meet the requirements shown in the supplementary job description and person specification.
Post Details
- Title: Learning Support Assistant
- Closing date: midday Monday 20th May 2024, interviews w/b 3rd June
- Full time or Part time considered, term-time, days may be flexible if part-time, hours 8:45am – 3:15pm. Start date 2nd September 2024, Fixed Term contract until end of summer term in July 2025.
- Salary Surrey Pay Scale 3
Job Purpose
- Joining our learning support team to provide general classroom support and to work with children with additional needs in our school
- To be responsible, under the direction of the Class teacher, for the care and welfare of the children in the class they are assigned to and to assist with their learning
- To be responsible, under the direction of the Class teacher, for the care and welfare of children with special educational needs on a one to one basis and to assist with their learning
- To work alongside, and under the direction of teaching staff in planning, preparing and assessing the curriculum to help children access the school curriculum, develop their confidence, self-esteem and independence
