The Littlehampton Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Design Technology (DT) specialist to join our Sports and Technology Faculty. The successful candidate will be motivated, creative and resilient, possessing both the skills to deliver high quality teaching and learning and the drive to ensure successful outcomes are reached.

The Littlehampton Academy is a large academy with a core ethos that supports the development of both staff and students. Our facilities are second to none and in DT include a dedicated CAD/CAM classroom and two workshops. DT is very popular with our students, so there is significant potential for the successful candidate to contribute to extra-curricular activities, in addition to opportunities to broaden both the breadth and depth of the DT curriculum across all age ranges.

At Key Stage 3, students receive one lesson a fortnight that is dedicated to DT throughout the year. At Key Stage 4, we offer GCSE DT and this is a popular choice amongst our students.

All our teaching colleagues also contribute to the welfare of our students as group tutors.

Students at TLA are proud of their school and loyal to their teachers. Colleagues are highly supportive and you will benefit from our extensive CPD programme.

We welcome applications from both well qualified teachers and those who are at the beginning of their career. The key is that you are enthusiastic and capable of contributing to the team. The successful candidate will be motivated, creative and resilient, possessing both the skills to deliver high quality teaching and learning and the drive to ensure successful outcomes are reached.

Required from 1 January 2021, earlier if possible
