St Augustine Academy is looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Pastoral Support Officer to join their supportive inclusion team.
This role will be an integral part of the inclusion team working under the direction of the Heads of Year and Senior Leadership Team. They will support and raise expectations by ensuring pupils receive the highest levels of care and support to improve progress and welfare. You will be expected to develop and maintain a range of professional partnerships with a range of outside agencies. The nature of the job requires a high degree of initiative, confidentially, tact and discretion.
The successful applicant will ensure that the pastoral needs of pupils are effectively met, raising their aspirations, self- esteem and motivation levels so they can achieve their academic potential. A requirement to understand the varied needs of students and inspire them to make positive life choices is necessary for this role.
The basis of this role is permanent working 37 hours per week (5 days per week) term time, + 1 week of INSET days (39 weeks in total) and offering an actual salary of £23,914 - £26,058 (approximately). (FTE £27,803 - £30,296 FTE, WAT grade F pt. 15-20).
