Class Teacher - Design and Technology Desirable
The Headteacher and Governing Body seek to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and inspirational Class Teacher to join our staffing team.
Woodfield is a thriving and vibrant learning environment for secondary age and post-16 (16–19) students with Learning and Additional Needs. Our pupils present with a diverse range of needs and abilities. Some may demonstrate behavior's linked to the complexity of their needs and or response to trauma. All students are challenged to achieve their very best. We know that pupils learn most effectively when they feel safe, valued and supported to develop a positive, “can do” attitude.

We welcome applications from teachers in Special, Primary or Secondary settings, particularly those with experience of supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.
We are seeking a teacher with the commitment and professionalism to plan, deliver and inspire high quality learning at Woodfield School. An interest or specialism in Design and Technology would be desirable.
This is a permanent, full-time position, paid in line with MPS/UPS plus SEN Allowance.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Be committed to working within a compassionate, trauma-informed community.
- Have experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, including those with complex attention and behavioral needs.
- Be an excellent classroom practitioner who motivates and inspires pupils to engage, achieve and develop independence.
- Deliver a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum tailored to individual needs.
- Maintain high expectations of achievement and behavior, with a clear commitment to raising standards.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to removing barriers to learning and ensuring lessons are engaging and accessible.
- Be passionate about inclusion and opportunities for pupils with Learning and Additional Needs.
- Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to secure appropriate provision.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with pupils, parents, staff, Governors and external partners.
Salary: Main Pay Scale to Upper Pay Scale (M1–UPS3), Fringe Area rates, plus SEN allowance (£2,787 – £5,497 FTE).
