Bank Receptionist - Woodfield School

  • The Headteacher and Governing Body seek to appoint a reliable, professional and approachable individual to join our team as a Bank Receptionist.

This role will provide flexible, ad hoc cover to support the smooth running of our busy school reception. Hours will be offered on a casual basis to cover staff absence and periods of increased demand.

Woodfield is a thriving and vibrant learning environment for secondary age and post-16 students with Learning and Additional Needs. Our pupils learn best when they feel safe, valued and supported within a calm and consistent environment. The reception area plays a key role in creating that first impression and maintaining daily organisation.

We are seeking someone who can provide a welcoming and efficient front desk service to pupils, families, staff and external agencies, whilst maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

This is a casual bank position.

    S5 point 1, £14.72 per hour plus 15% £2.21 holiday pay (FTE £27,634 - £29,604)

    The successful candidate will:

    • Have experience of working in a busy administrative or reception environment, ideally within a school setting.
    • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
    • Be confident and professional when dealing with pupils, families and visitors.
    • Be organised, efficient and able to prioritise effectively.
    • Be competent in using Microsoft Office applications.
    • Ideally have knowledge of school office procedures and systems such as SIMS.
    • Remain calm and professional under pressure.
    • Understand the importance of safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection.

We can offer a supportive working environment within a dedicated and committed staff team.

Applicants are warmly invited to visit the school and should arrange this via the school office.

    Closing date: 6th March 2026

    Interviews: TBC
