Job Title: Class Teacher PPA/Leadership

Actual Annual Salary: £18,999 - £26,162 (M1 to M6 based on 0.6 FTE).

Full Time Equivalent Salary: £31,650 - £43,607 (M1 to M6)

Contract Type: Fixed Term

Contract Length: Fixed until 31/12/2025

Hours: Part-time, 19.5 hours per week - 0.6 FTE

Haywood Village Academy are keen to recruit an enthusiastic qualified Class Teacher to join our supportive and passionate team at Haywood Village Academy. This role is for 3 days a week, and the school is flexible as to the days in which this time can be agreed.  This role will involve teaching in several classes as part of offering PPA and leadership release and we see this an opportunity for children to teach highly effective in both core and wider curriculum subjects. Due to the opening of Airfield Primary Academy in September 2026, this is a great opportunity to join the Cabot Learning Federation.

Haywood Village Academy opened in 2016 and currently has classes in Pre-school, Reception and year groups 1 to 6. The school was judged Outstanding by Ofsted in June 2019. The academy is at the heart of the community that it serves and is defined by High Aspirations, Valuing Learning and Achievement for all. We have created a school where children flourish. The school offers a limitless education that empowers choice through enriching, meaningful and active opportunities. Staff receive high quality professional training and support and contribute positively to the development of the school. 

About you:

You will be:

  • a qualified teacher or hold an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • able to deliver the curriculum in your chosen area and consistently teach high quality lessons across relevant key stages.
  • able to meet the needs of learners from key identified groups, including pupil premium, looked after children, SEND and High Attaining students.
  • a strong communicator with the ability to embrace change, motivate colleagues and build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
  • able to recognise, value and support the delivery of opportunities which extend beyond the confines of classroom delivery and seek to enrich and add value to the students experience & learning.
  • empowered to develop your own expert practice and support the development of others.
  • highly competent in all elements of the Teachers’ Standards and your achievements and contribution will be substantial and sustained as an Upper Pay Scale teacher.
