Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a meaningful difference every day? CoverStaff is proud to be recruiting dedicated Carers to work within the exceptional schools of Enable Trust.

As a Carer, you’ll play a vital role in helping pupils achieve greater independence and confidence in their day-to-day lives. Working as part of a trust that specialises in supporting young people with severe learning difficulties (SLD) across 4 schools you will join a team in which your support will be key to both the educational and emotional wellbeing of children with SLD or profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). Pupils may also have co-existing conditions such as autistic spectrum condition (ASC) or complex medical needs.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assisting pupils with personal care and physical support needs in a respectful, sensitive way
  • Encouraging independence and self-help skills through daily routines and structured support
  • Supporting learning and classroom activities, helping to ensure a smooth and engaging day for all pupils
  • Observing pupil progress and wellbeing, and sharing important information with the class teacher and wider team

We are looking for someone who:

  •  Has experience or a keen interest in working with children or young people with additional needs
  •  Is patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic
