Belmont Primary School is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Playleader Assistant to join our breakfast club and aftercare team. *This post is to cover maternity leave for the existing Playleader Assistant and the length of the contract may vary depending on the maternity leave taken. This can be discussed further at interview.
Hours: 27.50hrs per week x 38 weeks (term time only). *Inset days maybe required
Shift times: 7am-9am & 2.40pm-6.10pm
We are a popular and successful local school in Chiswick, West London, with a caring, purposeful ethos and children who love learning.
You will be working under the guidance of the Playleader and alongside the team, to provide and supervise a stimulating play environment for the children. In addition to this, you will help plan and deliver special events. You will also be responsible for devising and supervising age-appropriate play activities for younger/nursery aged children.
During the Playleaders planned absence, you will step in and cover the post.
Experience of working with children is essential. Knowledge/experience of working with SEN children would be desirable but not essential. It is also a requirement of the job that applicants have sound literacy and numeracy skills and are IT literate. The ideal candidate will be flexible, creative and enthusiastic, have good communications skills together with a friendly disposition. You must enjoy working as part of a team but also have the skills to lead a team.
