Would you like to play a key role in creating a safe, secure and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff and visitors? We are seeking a reliable and proactive Premises Assistant to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis, working 40 hours per week throughout the year. Based at our thriving primary school, you will help ensure our site is maintained to a high standard and is ready to support teaching and learning every day.
The role includes supporting the day-to-day operation of the school site, carrying out maintenance and DIY tasks, managing security arrangements, undertaking health and safety checks, liaising with contractors and assisting with site preparations for school events. You will play an important part in ensuring our buildings and grounds remain safe, clean and welcoming, helping to provide the very best environment for our children to learn and thrive.
Start date: ASAP
Working: Monday - Friday, 09.00-18.00 with an unpaid 1 hour break
We are an outdoorsy school set in 5.5 acres, with our own smallholding, including farm animals and an allotment.
We have an excellent track record with staff development; many of our teaching assistants have gone on to train as teachers or have undertaken further specialist training for their role. As part of the Bourne Education Trust, there are further potential career opportunities too.
The salary is £31,717 with 29 days annual leave
