Wray Common Primary School is seeking to appoint a School Business Manager to work as an integral member of our Senior Leadership Team, supporting the Head Teacher and wider Multi-Academy Trust with setting and delivering the schools strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • an unwavering determination to deliver excellent operational leadership and management across the school;
  • proven experience of budget management, monitoring and account reconciliation together with experience of financial management systems and audit requirements;
  • experience of managing health and safety together with in-depth knowledge of risk, issues, and legislation in relation to education;
  • knowledge of HR management and safer recruitment practices; and
  • experience of working in a busy school or office environment.

In addition, you will:

  • be forward thinking, creative, receptive to change and able to work as part of a multi-disciplined team;
  • manage your time effectively and able to work towards deadlines;
  • be well organised, methodical and ability to remain calm under pressure;
  • have a positive and flexible approach while managing a diverse and demanding workload; and
  • be kind, caring and be able to forge positive relationships with our school community, including colleagues, children, parents and neighbours.

This is a part time term time role working 32 hours per week, over a minimum of four days per week, 42 weeks per annum (term time plus an additional 3 weeks). The full time equivalent annual salary is £41,127 to £45,519 (pay award pending) and the pro rata annual salary is £33,869 to £37,486.
