Here at Warrington & Vale Royal College we are entering an exciting period of growth and development, with an expanding department and financial investment in the key curriculum areas of Construction and Engineering.

We are keen to hear from both experienced and non-experienced Lecturers, who have the relevant skills and qualifications to provide the very best experience to our learners.

Based on current timetables the successful candidate will be required to work Tuesday and Wednesday at the Winsford campus, and Thursday at the Warrington campus.

We offer an excellent salary and benefits package, which includes:

• A competitive salary

• Generous annual leave entitlement

• Occupational pension scheme

• Employee benefits package

• Full programme of training and mentoring

• Flexible working, where appropriate

• Focus on sustainability

In October 2019 the College was officially commended as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, and we celebrated some of the highest pass rates in England, ranking us in the top 10 nationally for the third consecutive year. Our mission is ‘Realising potential, transforming lives’. Our environment is inclusive, friendly and supportive, with high expectations for both staff and students. To thrive in our environment, you will need to be resilient, positive, able to work autonomously, have a strong work ethic, and put our learners at the heart of everything you do.

Suitable candidates will have relevant professional qualifications and industrial experience in Mechanical Engineering to teach Levels 2 – 3. Candidates must have experience of working with Lathes, Milling machines and CNC machines.

You will either have a recognised teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards a recognised teaching qualification. Through the Taking Teaching Further programme, the College is able to recruit applicants with industry experience to retrain as FE teachers. The programme will provide funding for the cost of the teacher qualification and full mentor support, provided by the College.

As this is a hard to fill post, a golden hello payment of up to £3,000 may be payable, subject to conditions.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and Prohibition Checks.
