After School Club Role and Learning Support Assistant Role
Starting September 2022 – every afternoon Term time only
Monday – Friday 12pm - 6pm (27.5 hours/week 39 weeks per annum).
Fixed Term Position (Until 31 August 2023) with potential to be extended
Actual pay is £12,691 - £13,312 p.a. (The salary dependent on experience and will be within the range of XCET 3 pay currently £19,313 to £20,257 Full Time Equivalent (April 2022 rates)).
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to join our school to support our After School Club and the wider teaching and learning at St Edmund’s Catholic Primary School in Godalming.
This position will be for 25.5 hours per week, 12pm to 6pm Monday – Friday Term Time only.
Each day will be timetabled as 12-1.30pm Midday supervision then a 30 minute unpaid break then Classroom duties as directed by Headteacher followed by After School Club Assistant role 3-6pm.
We are looking for applicants who:
• have a determination to make a difference in the children’s progress and development
• are self-motivated, enthusiastic and committed to getting the best outcomes for our children
• have the ability to work as part of the team as well as through their initiative
• have good English and Maths skills/knowledge (GCSE Equivalent)
• have high expectations of themselves and the children they work with, including promoting independence where possible.
• will preferably have experience supporting children within the classroom with accessing learning.
