We are a small, friendly school looking for a Caretaker to join our team. We are looking for someone seeking a part time role - 20 hours per week – 7.30am to 11.30am with flexibility during school holidays.
No specific experience required as training will be provided, but a willingness to contribute to all areas of busy school life is a must. The role would equally suit someone looking for a part time role in a step towards retirement or someone looking to gain experience of premises management..
Key accountabilities:
• Oversee schedules and routine maintenance liaising with contractors and suppliers as necessary.
• Undertake regular health and safety checks of buildings, grounds, fixtures and fittings in accordance with schedules and keep records of checks.
• Undertake regular maintenance of the grounds and building surrounds, including removal of leaves and debris and during icy conditions treated accordingly to ensure the safety of staff and pupils.
• Provide a portering and furniture moving service to ensure supplies are in place and school activities can proceed.
