We are looking to appoint a highly organised, friendly and proactive HR Manager to join our support team. The HR Manager is the first point of contact for staff queries regarding Pay and Personnel related issues, and will deal with all employee related administration, providing a comprehensive support service for payroll and recruitment procedures.

About the HR Position
The position is for 28 hours per week over 40 weeks a year (term time, plus one week over the school holidays). Working hours will be agreed with the successful candidate although some flexibility will be needed as there are times during the year when certain tasks have more prominence, e.g. Monthly payroll deadlines and staff recruitment.
This is a very varied, interesting role and plays an integral part of the school’s support system. Reporting to the Headteacher, you will work closely with the Schools Business Manager and Senior Leadership Team as the key point of contact for HR related matters.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the HR provision at the school, managing the recruitment process from advertisement through to induction, ensuring adherence to all safer recruitment practices and Trust policies, maintaining accurate HR records and leading on the administration of the schools HR and payroll systems.

About You:
• Relevant HR experience and knowledge is essential, ideally in an educational setting.
• A confident, organised, pro-active individual who is able to prioritise their time and workload, whilst having the flexibility to deal with unexpected interruptions.
• A good communicator and a strong team player, passionate about supporting staff and able to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels.
• Have a professional approach, able to remain calm whilst working under pressure acting with integrity, compassion and empathy.
• Good administration and IT skills with good attention to detail.
• Possessing a CIPD qualification would be ideal, but not essential.

Surrey Pay Scale PS7/PS8 - £32,512 to £38,585 FTE
