We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and ambitious teacher to teach History at St Andrew’s to join our outstanding team in the History and Politics Department. We are looking for someone who can inspire our students, who is passionate about History and the impact studying the subject can have on our students. The History department is an outstanding department. All students study History at KS3 and it is the most popular option subject at GCSE with over 140 students studying it each year. At A Level we have over 40 students taking History A Level and another 40 taking AS Level. The exam results are excellent with between 90%+ of the students achieving grades 4-9 for the past 8 years at GCSE and 50% achieving grade 7+. Similarly results at AS and A Level are outstanding with 100% A*-C and over 80% A*-B consistently. This post would suit an ECT or an experienced candidate.
