As Yeovil College continues to grow, innovate and champion inclusive education, we are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Deputy SENDCo to join our ambitious and learner-focused SEND Team.
This is a pivotal and rewarding role for someone passionate about making a real difference to learners’ lives. Working alongside the SENDCo, you will help shape and deliver high-quality, inclusive support, ensuring every learner with SEND is fully supported to succeed.
You will play a central role in EHCP consultations, reviews and statutory compliance, working closely with curriculum teams, families and external agencies to ensure provision is timely, effective and learner-centred. As Deputy SENDCo, you will also step up to deputise for the SENDCo, contributing to strategic planning, operational leadership and the College’s wider commitment to excellence, inclusion, and outstanding outcomes.

What we're looking for:
- A strong interest in working with young people and adults with additional needs.
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a SEND, related role with management or team leader responsibility.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- A strong awareness and ability to deliver first class internal and external customer service.
- Level 2 English and Maths, or willingness to work towards.
- A relevant SEND qualification or willingness to work towards.
- Respectful of learner’s personal needs and maintain confidentiality at all times.
