We are looking for a highly motivated Welsh Teacher who is keen to make a difference to the education and learning experiences of all our students.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for an inspirational teacher to work in a supportive and energetic team and we would welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified teachers. If you have excellent organisational skills, the ability to work with others and are able to raise attainment by motivating and inspiring students, then we would like to hear from you.

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic specialist who is passionate about enabling all students to make significant progress in Welsh. You must be able to plan engaging lessons and work collaboratively alongside talented and hardworking staff who are committed to providing exceptional opportunities for our students. The department has a strong collaborative ethos and is committed to offering extra-curricular opportunities to learners.

We are looking for a professional who has a good understanding of the principles of the Curriculum for Wales and our National strategy for the Welsh language which is Cymraeg 2050: A Million Speakers. The right individual will have a clear vision in terms of learning and teaching the Welsh language, together with the ability to work with others to innovate and raise achievement by motivating and inspiring students.

Ysgol Calon Cymru is an 11-18 school that serves a wide rural area, located on two campuses, with an active sixth form. Ysgol Calon Cymru benefits from a team of active, competent and determined teachers and support staff. The school fosters a strong ethos of mutual respect, team spirit and working together for the best interests of the pupils. Our pupils are well behaved, welcoming and proud of their school. They work alongside staff to achieve our shared vision of being the best we can be. Your addition to the learning community will help us achieve this vision. Our school website provides a variety of information about the school.

The school was inspected in October 2022 and described by Estyn as follows: 'Ysgol Calon Cymru provides a calm, caring and rich learning environment where many pupils develop as happy, confident and respectful individuals.
