Princethorpe College

Princethorpe College is a co-educational independent Catholic day school welcoming members of all denominations. The school is the senior school of the Princethorpe Foundation, which is a charitable trust. The junior school, Crackley Hall (170 pupils), accepts children from nursery to 11 years and is on a separate campus in nearby Kenilworth. Princethorpe College has around 820 pupils aged between 11 and 18 with a Sixth Form of 190. Admission is by examination, usually at 11 and 13 and at other ages as space allows. Pupils from other schools join the Sixth Form at Princethorpe after their GCSE courses.

The origins of the College go back to the 1950s when St. Bede's College for was opened in Leamington Spa. By 1966 the school had outgrown its premises and the present site at Princethorpe, a former Benedictine monastery, was purchased to give it a home worthy of its aspirations.

Princethorpe College provides a caring, Christian environment for children where their needs can be met and their talents, confidence and self-esteem developed. Pupils are given clear guidelines to nurture honesty, self-awareness and an understanding of the needs of others, preparing them to lead happy and fulfilled lives.

Single accommodation may be available. Fee discount for children of teaching staff.

Former Benedictine monastery with grade 2 listed chapel by Peter Paul Pugin. 200 acres of magnificent Warwickshire parkland. Extensive new building projects over the last five years: all weather sports surface and Sports Centre. A new £2.4m Sixth Form Centre opened in 2007.
