Identified in Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of School's Annual Report (2002/03) as a particularly successful school, this all age Special School is eager to maintain and develop its provision of an inclusive and accessible curriculum for young people with physical disabilities and associated special educational needs.

Penn Hall School is a maintained co-educational and residential special school for 80 pupils and students aged from 3 - 19. All pupils and students have physical difficulties as their major disability and have a statement of Special Educational Needs.? Our residential facility is used on average by six different pupils each week.? The school is situated in the south west of Wolverhampton and admits pupils from the neighbouring authorities of Dudley, Walsall, Staffordshire, Sandwell and Shropshire

School Aims and Philosophy
Penn Hall School aims to:

Provide a rich, stimulating and successful environment in which children and young adults can flourish and develop.
Provide opportunities, experiences, teaching and therapy, which will prepare each child for his/her next stage in life.
Help each child to progress from the security of intimate care in the early years to as great a degree of independence as possible within the limits of his or her physical capabilities and needs.
Teach each child to recognise and respect the needs and differences of other pupils and develop tolerance and understanding of the people in the local community and the wider world.
Develop confident and happy pupils who can make their own decisions, contribute to their own development and make informed choices about their own life.

Included in Black Country Creative Arts Partnership 2002 ? 2006.
New changing rooms (Sport England Lottery Grant) constructed to provide school and community facilities for Swimming/ Hydrotherapy Pool.
New build to provide facilities for drama, sport, recreation, therapy and play.
Successful links and support with and for Westcroft School and Sports College.
Contact centre for Becta Communication Aids Project.
Provision of Science Laboratory via Seed Challenge funding.
Refurbishment of residential bathrooms.
Provision of discreet toilet facilities for adult disabled.
Alterations to school drive/ car park to enhance access for specialised transport vehicles.
