<p>At Fourfields we aim to 'SHINE'! </p><h2>Catchment Area</h2><p>The population of the school is a varied composition drawn from the village's main housing estate and other residences of Yaxley. The catchment area is drawn as 'north of Broadway'.</p><h2>Building</h2><p>Fourfields is a 2 form entry community primary school. It is situated on the boundary between an established residential area and a new housing development not far from the border with Peterborough.</p><p>The site includes the original building, built in 1979, a new building opened in June 2003, playground areas, car parking space, a large playing field which enjoys adventure play equipment, school garden and a Foundation Stage outdoor area.The school was extended once more in March 2007 to include an improved reception area and school offices/meeting rooms with a community building to be used by the 'Stretton Playgroup' and the 'Yaxley Out of School Hours' club.</p><p>There are 14 classrooms and each class has broadband access and an interactive white board.</p><h2>Pupils</h2><p>Fourfields is a community school with 417 children on roll.</p><p>Foundation Stage Classes: Squirrels & Hedgehogs<br />Key Stage 1 Classes: Badgers, Rabbits, Barn Owls and Hares<br />Key Stage 2 Classes: Fieldmice, Foxes, Cuckoos, Kestrels, Robins, Muntjacs, Stoats & Hawks</p><p>Most children transfer to either to Stanground Academy, Sawtry Village Academy or Hampton College for the secondary phase of their education.</p><h2>Staffing</h2><p>There are currently 70 staff working at Fourfields with roles ranging from teachers to catering assistants.</p><h2>Awards</h2><p>We are also very proud to be a partner school with the Royal Horticultural Society in recognition of our Level 5 award and how we link our school garden into the life of the school. We also have the 'Inclusion' Chartermark and have been awarded Bronze accreditation for our Travel Plan. We are currently close to achieving a bronze award for 'Food for Life'.</p>
