Learning MentorRef: 16-17/NAR/05737 hours a week, term time (39 weeks)£17,891 - £22,434 per annum (£15,225 - £19,091 pro-rata) Closing date: 29 March 2017 at noonWe are seeking to appoint a committed and talented Learning Mentor to work at the Nottingham Academy.Working under the direction of the Class Teacher, you will promote development and learning, and will help to ensure full participation. This will involve working on a one to one basis and in small groups. The ideal candidate will;• be able to demonstrate a range of behaviour management strategies and teaching skills• be well organised and have high expectations of achievement and behaviour• possess excellent communication skills at all levels in order to be able to liaise effectively with parent/carers and outside agencies• preferably have previous experience of working in a similar role.The Nottingham Academy is a multi-site academy with new and refurbished buildings, offering pupils and staff an outstanding learning environment. Each site is led by a Head of School in conjunction with the Lead Principal, Ged Rae. The most recent Ofsted in November 2015 judged the academy as continuing to be ‘Good’ and commented that despite its increasing size, it feels calm and orderly and has an atmosphere focused on learning. Training and support will be provided from a welcoming and professional team.
