With engineering and manufacturing continuing to be a cornerstone of the UK economy, the College is looking to expand its curriculum offering to help meet the growing demand for engineers and technicians with core engineering skills, and now has a vacancy for an experienced and enthusiastic 0.5 Lecturer in Engineering to join its team. Please note: interviews are being held on Wednesday 18th August 2021.
The post holder will be responsible for leading on the introduction of the College’s new BTEC Level 1/Level 2 First Extended Certificate in Engineering, which includes modules such the Engineering World, Engineering Materials, Design and Assembly and Computer-aided Engineering and ensuring that the course is a success. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing course materials and delivering high-quality teaching and learning to our learners and providing them with an outstanding experience. The ideal candidate will be an experienced engineer, with an in-depth understanding of a range of engineering topics. They will also have a passion for developing others and the ability to use inspiring teaching methods to engage learners. Excellent English will be required along with a high level of IT competency.
This is a part-time post for 18 hours per week. The hours of work can be flexible based on any other commitments that the successful candidate may have, while timetables for the next year are still being finalised.
