An exciting opportunity for an excellent 1:1 Learning Support Assistant

Stanwell Fields Primary School & Nursery is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and committed Learning Support Assistant, to work alongside a class teacher, as part of our Inclusion Team, to provide care and management of individuals or small groups of pupils and assist in managing the learning environment.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will, under the instruction/guidance of teaching staff, work with an assigned pupil delivering individual programmes of work, care and support, to enable access to learning. You will also support the assessment of their needs and future planning of their learning.
This role will also require the employee to participate in the creation and supervision of active playtimes/lunchtimes and to provide first aid.
Key skills and experience you will need:
- An ability to build good working relationships with both pupils and adults
- Good organisational skills
- Flexibility and creativity
- Enjoy working with children
- Good literacy and numeracy skills (level 2 and above)
- Ability to manage pupils and deal with challenging behaviour
- Patience and a sense of humour
- It could be useful if you have IT skills or are fluent in local community languages
Hours: The role and hours will be specific to EHCP of the child the role is assigned to. The role will cease upon the child leaving the school. – Roughly 27 hours per week during school hours of 8.20-3.20pm
Fixed Term to the length of time the child remains in the school or EHCP- whatever is sooner.
Salary: NJC pay scale point 3 PRO RATA £12,098 (FTE £ 20,835)
