1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant
16.25 hours per week: Monday to Friday - 8.45-12pm
Term time plus INSET days
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, nurturing 1-1 SEND teaching assistant to work with a child who has additional needs in Year 3. You will be supported by the class teacher, class teaching assistant and SENDco in your role. The successful applicant will be able to plan, deliver and monitor learning to meet the needs of the child’s Education, Health and Care Plan, as well as adapting materials to support the child’s learning and development.
We are looking for someone who has the following:
- Knowledge, understanding and experience of working with children, ideally some experience of working with children with SEND
- A variety of communication skills to respond to the needs of the child
- Empathy and understanding of children's individual learning abilities
- Patience and a good sense of humour
- Be empathetic in nature and maintain a calm approach
- is flexible and ready for the challenge of working in a new school
