William Morris Primary School is a new primary school based in Tadpole Garden Village in Swindon. We opened in September 2019 and are a 2 form entry primary. Our new school is part of The Blue Kite Academy Trust, a family of primary schools based in Swindon. William Morris Primary School is a friendly, happy place where children are known and cared for. The new school building is spacious and purpose built, including a large hall, cookery room and library area. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, nurturing 1:2:1 SEND teaching assistant to work with a child who has additional needs in our Reception Class. You will be supported by the class teacher, class teaching assistant and SENDco in your role. The successful applicant will be able to plan, deliver and monitor learning to meet the needs of the child’s Education, Health and Care Plan, as well as adapting materials to support the child’s learning and development.
Start date: as soon as possible
Salary: NJC Grade K1-4 (£9.69-10.09 per hour) depending on experience

The hours of work will be Monday-Friday 8.30am to 12pm and then working a 30 minute lunchtime duty from 12-12.30pm under a separate midday supervisory assistant contract (Paid at J Grade £9.25-£9.45). The role will be term time only plus teacher training days. This is a specific purpose 1 2 1 contract supporting a named child whilst they attend William Morris Primary School. We also have hours available working in our breakfast club on a Thursday and Friday morning from 7.30am to 8.30am and on a Tuesday in after school club from 3-4.30pm. These hours could be available to the successful applicant if they were of interest.
