Bristol Grade 6 Learning Support Assistant required to work within the Inclusion Team
- 2 x FTE LSAs to work Mon – Fri 8.30am – 3.30pm, fixed term from 1st Sept. 2020 – 31st
- These posts could be filled on a full time or part-time basis.
The successful candidate will be working with children aged 4 – 7 years, across Reception and Key Stage 1, supporting a range of learning needs, including social and emotional difficulties. It is likely that the work will be on a 1:1 basis but could also include working with small groups.
The successful candidate will have a keen interest in working with children with additional needs inline with our inclusive practices and nurturing ethos. Experience is desirable but support and guidance in the role will be provided. The appointed person will be line managed and deployed by the SENDCo in a manner that best suits their abilities and the rest of the Inclusion Team.
The main responsibilities of the role are to:
- work closely with class teachers, other members of the Inclusion Team and outside agencies to provide consistent support and approaches for children
- implement and adapt plans to support children in securing progress towards personal targets
- utilise strategies that will promote independent learning
