Plas Derwen, Flintshire’s Portfolio of Pupil Referral Units, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, empathetic and skilled Progression Pastoral Assistant to work with young people who are experiencing Behavioural, Emotional and Social difficulties across our sites across Flintshire. This is a new and exciting opportunity for the right candidate.
The role will involve liaison with pupils, parents, school staff, outside agencies and employers where appropriate to source, develop and support alternative education programmes for disaffected learners. You will be predominately based in our Secondary Key Stage 4 BESD resource but will need to have the flexibility to work within any of our provisions when required.
Together we work to support our pupils to reach their full potential and to access a meaningful education. Training and support will be provided for the successful candidate. This is a great opportunity to gain a varied position working with the PPRU to support learners across Flintshire
