We have an opportunity for a supportive individual to provide supervised study to our 6th form students, and key first aid treatment across the school.
As 6th form Study Supervisor you will be responsible for guiding and assisting 6th form students with their independent study, offering time management advice, improving literacy, overseeing UCAS references, providing careers and next steps guidance and mentoring identified students. As school First Aider you will provide assistant to those in need in the event of accidents or emergencies, ensuring the most appropriate course of action.
Due to the nature of the role, you will be an active member of the team across the school and your time will be split between the two roles. This would be an ideal role for an experienced teacher or mentor, or perhaps an ex nurse or medical professional. This is an exciting opportunity for you to motivate, inspire and engender independence in our School.
We are a cohesive team of Support Staff and Teachers, with enthusiastic 11-18 year old students, superb building with 6th form atrium and spectacular views in excellent surroundings. Our most recent Ofsted inspection last year, judged that Rednock School continues to be a ‘good’ school. We offer excellent CPD for all staff as well as bespoke support for new staff.
The post is term-time only, full-time (32.5 hours per week) and permanent and will start in September 2019.
Please apply by completing an application form and covering letter explaining why you would be ideal for the role. Further details about the school can be found on our website. We look forward to hearing from you.
Rednock School is committed to safefguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. Rigorous checks will be undertaken of the successful applicant's background credentials including enhanced DBS checks.
