New City College is the dynamic group of further education colleges in East London which comprises Tower Hamlets College, Hackney Community College, Epping Forest College and, Redbridge College. Our 4-college merger places the group at the forefront of further education in the region. Our science department was graded “Outstanding” by the College SAR validation panel. We offer a wide range of science courses for adults and young people including GCSE and Access courses for adults, and A level Physics, Biology and Chemistry.

We require an exceptional classroom practitioner with a passion for teaching Science. You will be an innovative and creative teacher with a student centered vision. You will have ambition, energy and drive to provide our students with exciting and challenging lessons in Science. You will primarily be teaching A-Levels. You will also be responsible for assisting students with UCAS and career choices.

The Science Department is accommodated in facilities including six laboratories, two preparation rooms and a learning centre. Our students are a balance of young people and adults studying GCSE, AS and A2 Science subjects, and vocational, cross-disciplinary, applied science courses at levels 1, 2 and 3, including Access to HE courses. Results at all levels are good. We have an excellent record of preparing students for scientific and medical careers.
