The role of Academic Skills Practitioner is pivotal in ensuring students from across the college achieve their potential.
We are looking for a vibrant, creative, and organised individual to work with students from entry to degree level to develop their study skills and to improve independent learning.
You will supervise and support a range of learners in the Academic Skills Club, group sessions, and 1:1 to help them achieve high grades. Working on your initiative, you will develop resources to support students’ learning and understanding as well as stretching and challenging.
This is a varied role with scope for enhancing the provision through delivery of new, engaging academic and personal development activities.
You must have a literacy and numeracy skills to at least Level 2 and a teaching or training qualification would be an advantage.
