Kent College is a co-educational nursery, day and boarding school for pupils aged 0 to18, located at two sites, set in exceptional grounds with outstanding facilities.
The Accountant is responsible for the management of finances for the school and compliance with Charity Commission Guidelines, along with accountability for ensuring that the finance of the School's trading subsidiary is tightly managed. The role holder will report to the Bursar and have management responsibility for a team of 3.
The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent professional qualification in financial or management accounting, accompanied by experience in a busy environment with ever changing priorities and challenges, as well as being highly computer literate and confident with MS Excel and Google sheets. The role holder must be able to use their own initiative, demonstrate excellent attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills, whilst maintaining good communication with the team and the wider school community.
This position is for maternity cover and the successful applicant will be required to start in April.
