Reaseheath College is one of the UK's leading specialist land-based colleges with over 3,000 full-time students and 800+residential students in Further Education, Higher Education and as Apprentices. The College has an annual turnover of GBP 36M, employs 700 staff and has recently completed a GBP 30M development of the site.
The College has a new vacancy for an Accountant with the Finance Department to expand the team. The role offers the opportunity to develop and enhance existing skills, whilst assisting in delivery of the organisation’s mission and strategic objectives.
You must hold a professional accountancy qualification, but the role would be suited to a newly qualified accountant who is looking to gain further experience in a supportive and diverse environment. Training on the College Finance system will be given but a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is essential.
Key areas of focus of the role are:
• Monthly Management Accounts Production
• Control and other key accounts - reconciliation and management
• VAT - and the statutory requirements
• Statutory Reporting, Lead Schedules - ability to compile accurate and fully referenced schedules to support financial reporting
• Monitoring multi-department organisation budgets
The successful candidate should show accuracy and attention to detail along with the ability to plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
