Sessional ACL Art Lecturer
College location: East Surrey College (Redhill)
Hourly pay rate: £24.26/hour (£20.35/hour + £3.91/hour as payment for annual leave)
Hours: Tuesday & Wednesday evenings from January 2020 (19:00pm-21:00pm)
We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Sessional ACL Art Lecturer to join our Art, Design and Media department.
In this hourly paid lecturing post you will be delivering teaching and learning across our evening classes on Acrylic Painting and Drawing Techniques to our adult students. You will work closely with the Head of Department, Programme Manager and the rest of the Art, Design & Media team, and have the chance to share your knowledge and skills with learners to help them achieve at the highest level as well as driving continuous improvement within the College.
You will act as a personal tutor for adult students, ensure a safe and comfortable learning environment, promote attendance and contribute to the planning, development and review activities within your subject area.
The successful candidate must have:
•Previous teaching experience (ideally within FE)
•Relevant industry degree or equivalent
•A full teaching qualification at Level 3 or above
•Knowledge of FE & Adult Education
•A good standard of IT Skills (including Outlook, Word and Powerpoint)
Successful candidates will join our “bank” of hourly paid staff and will be allocated work on a flexible basis.
