Badbury Park Primary School - After School Club leader
Are you an enthusiastic person looking to work in a friendly school, where teaching and learning is fun, play based and inspiring?
We are looking to expand our team as we move into our fabulous new school building in Badbury Park in 2020. We will have a brand new Nursery, Reception class and a Year 1 class from September. We will continue to grow to become a two-form entry primary school in time.
Our new free school is part of The Blue Kite Academy Trust, a growing family of primary schools based in Swindon. We currently have five large primary schools in the trust in addition to our two brand new schools which opened in September 2019
Badbury Park Primary School is a friendly, happy place where children are known and cared for. Our curriculum is play based and creative and allow for children to explore in different ways – using hands on experiences and interesting stimuli. Forest School will ensure children achieve and develop confidence and self- esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a natural outdoor environment.
Badbury Park has a growing staff team – we are a happy group and very supportive of one another. Everyone works hard to give the best education possible to the children.
We are looking to appoint an After School Club leader to be in charge of the delivery of our after school provision. The hours of work are Monday to Friday from 15.00-18.00, term time plus training days (this position may work well alongside our part time Teaching Assistant role).
The successful applicant will:
- Lead and co-ordinate the delivery and supervision of quality provisioning
- Be a role model to colleagues by ensuring all our children have access to engaging, fun and purposeful activities
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with pupils, parents and other staff
- Be innovative and flexible, yet rigorous with an eye for detail
- Be passionate about inclusive practice
- Be adaptable to support the growth of our new school
- Have excellent organisational and time management
- Be confident to carry out daily site locking up and alarm setting

This appointment will be subject to Enhanced DBS Disclosure; proof of the right to work in the UK and satisfactory references. Please note the proof of right to work in the UK will be required at interview.
Start date: 17th September 2020
Salary: NJC pay scale L1-11 depending on experience
