We are looking for a passionate and inspiring qualified After School Club Play Leader to join our supportive and talented team at Summerhill Academy. We are a growing organisation, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.
This position is 16 hours per week, Term Time Only plus 5 Inset days.

What we are looking for:
We look for a charismatic individual who wants to become a part of a fun After School Club that can bring passion and energy to children’s’ evenings, is able to help lead a team of play workers and use initiative to assist in the day to day running of the club and will make an active contribution to the development of the Cabot Learning Federation and Summerhill Academy.
The Play Leader will be responsible for the day to day management of play provision for children outside of Academy hours. They will lead a quality playcare service responsive to the needs of children and their parents and within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures.
About the Academy & Cabot Learning Federation
The Cabot Learning Federation is the largest non-diocesan academy group in the South West. We currently are sponsoring academies in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Weston-Super-Mare; six secondary, eight primary, one all-through academy and a Studio School. The Federation also has an overarching CLF Post 16 and specialist inclusion centres. Together we educate over 9000 children between the ages of 3 and 19 and the Federation is a major Teaching School in the South West.
Summerhill Academy is part of the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF). Summerhill Academy is a diverse learning community, serving KS2 children and their families in the St George area of Bristol. Summerhill Academy strives to meet the needs of all the children through a caring and inclusive approach. ‘Think like a Learner’ and ‘Learning Gems’ approaches are having a positive impact on the learning behaviours of the children and have helped to create an encouraging atmosphere. These approaches are used alongside The Thrive Approach to support the children’s emotional and social well-being.
