Afterschool Club Supervisor / Play Leader

We are looking for a dynamic, creative and resourceful person to organise activities in our extended hours provision, and to lead a team of play workers caring for up to 100 children attending our breakfast and afterschool clubs.
Previous experience of working as a play worker is essential together with excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be able to plan and supervise a team in delivering a high quality, safe, inclusive and stimulating environment for children. A paediatric first aid certificate, or a willingness to undergo training, is required.
This role is 22 hours per week worked over 5 days per week term time only, plus 4 weeks during school holidays. We expect the working pattern to be broadly between 2.15 - 6.15 pm over 4-5 days/week plus attendance at Breakfast Club once a fortnight 7.15 – 9.15 am, although the exact working pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate to allow for planning time. The actual starting salary is £12,003 for 22 hours/week over 42 weeks p.a. Application packs available here or from the 'Vacancies' section on our website.
We are a large primary school, located on the borders of South West London, with 620 pupils from Reception to Year 6. The school has recently converted to academy status and joins Hinchley Wood School, an outstanding secondary school located on the same site, in a newly formed multi academy trust – the Hinchley Wood Learning Partnership.
