Extended Provision Supervisor / Play Leader

Actual salary £12,799 for 22.5 hours/week for 42 weeks p.a.

We are looking for a dynamic, creative and resourceful person to organise activities in our extended hours provision, and to lead a team of play workers caring for up to 100 children attending our wraparound provision.
Previous experience of organising a team with strong administration skills is essential along with excellent communication skills and experience of supporting children. A childcare qualification - NEB/NVQ Level 3 or above, and/or previous play worker experience is desirable. The successful candidate will be able to plan and supervise a team in delivering a high quality, safe, inclusive and stimulating environment for children. A paediatric first aid certificate, or a willingness to undergo training, is required.
This role is 22.5 hours per week worked over 5 days per week term time only, plus 4 weeks during school holidays. We expect the working pattern to be broadly between 1:45 - 6.15pm Monday to Friday, although the exact working pattern and requirements beyond the school term, will be agreed with the successful candidate. For information the full time equivalent range for this role is £22,308 - £25,599 p.a.
We are a large primary school, located on the borders of South West London, with 620 pupils from Reception to Year 6. The school has recently converted to academy status and joins Hinchley Wood School, an outstanding secondary school located on the same site, in a newly formed multi academy trust – the Hinchley Wood Learning Partnership.
