At Soar Valley, we pride ourselves on being a highly inclusive school. The Exchange was established to ensure we continue to meet the needs of a diverse student population. It is rapidly becoming a crucial part of our provision for a small group of students, those with various barriers to learning and who can demonstrate challenging behaviours at times, and is already showing signs of being a great success in terms of the welfare and future success of these students. They receive teaching in key subjects, and also interventions which address behaviours and lead to reintegration back into the mainstream school in many cases, particularly at Key Stage 3.
What we're looking for
We are now looking for a suitable candidate as an Alternative Provision Tutor, and to join our very strong and effective Inclusion Team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Exchange Manager and support vulnerable students, promoting a learning environment that supports high expectations, and delivering bespoke provision to meet the needs of individuals. Experience in an educational setting is vital and experience of delivering English and/or maths intervention would be useful but not essential.
If you feel you have the right skills, qualities and experience to make a real difference with our most vulnerable and hard to reach students and become part of an OfSTED ‘Outstanding’ school we would like to hear from you.
Please see our website for further details. Interested candidates are welcome to visit the school before making an application should they wish, and should contact Smita Stone, SLT PA.
Further details are available on our website.
Closing date: 9am Wednesday 26th January 2022.
