The SMB Group is a highly successful FE college, formed through the merger of Stephenson College and Brooksby Melton College. We are an innovative and highly responsive centre for education and training with campuses in Coalville, Melton Mowbray and Brooksby.
Animal Care is growing significantly each year, and now provides excellent student experience and opportunities for over 450 students. This ranges from level 1 to level 6 degrees, including specific commercial courses and Access to HE. We have excellent facilities with a range of examples, and work with some brilliant partners and employers in shaping an excellent programme for our learners. We are at a stage now where the Curriculum Manager requires management support to manage a portfolio of staff in the department, and lead and manage those programmes they are responsible for.
This includes teaching contract of 450 hours, which roughly equates to 2.5 days of teaching, with the other 2.5 days responsible for management and leading staff and provision.
This is a great opportunity and step for someone who wants to progress in their career from either a course leader, programme lead or experienced Lecturer to Managerial position in a large and successful department.
