The Banbury cluster of GLF Schools are seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Office Administration Assistant to join their friendly team after Easter.

We are looking to support a confident, enthusiastic and proactive apprentice, with strong IT skills, to work as part of our administration team across our busy offices. You will initially be based at Cherry Fields Primary School.
With support from the Cluster Office Manager, friendly Admin Team and a Learning Support Tutor through our trusted provider, you will complete a fully funded apprenticeship course. The course will run for approx. 18 months. You will learn ‘on the job’ and have 20% dedicated ‘off the job’ study time.
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship you be awarded a Level 3 in Business Administration, equivalent to 2 A Level’s. There may be opportunities available within GLF once you have completed your qualification.
This varied role will give the successful candidate an opportunity to learn all aspects within the department, developing your knowledge and skills in both IT school systems and procedures. The successful candidate should have excellent communication & organisational skills and be able to work using own initiative. It is important that you have a warm, caring, and professional manner at all times, as you will be dealing face to face with parents, carers and pupils on a daily basis.

What we are looking for:
• Excellent IT skills are essential for this role - Knowledge of database systems, Experience using Office 365 and MS Teams
• Ideally some experience of updating and maintaining website content
• Some experience, either paid or voluntary, working in a busy office environment
• Flexible and adaptable attitude to suit the needs and requirements of the Cluster Office Manager and Senior Leadership Team
• Able to remain professional when handling confidential material
• An excellent communicator with both parents, children and staff
• In possession of A-C in Maths and English in GCSE or equivalent.
• Aware of the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding of children

Actual annual salary based on April 2021 Apprentice Rates: £6,943 (FTE annual salary £8,071, apprentice hourly rate £4.30*)
*For those aged 19+ this salary increases after your first year to minimum wage for your age bracket. You can check what yours will be on the Gov uk website.
Hours: 36hrs per week, 39 weeks (Term time only + Inset days)
Monday to Thursday 8am to 3.45pm, Friday 8am to 3.30pm. 30 min unpaid break daily.
Contract Type: Fixed Term 18-month
Start date: Monday 19th April 2021
