We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Apprenticeship Manager to join our Engineering department, based primarily at our Chippenham campus with some travel to our other sites in Wiltshire.
In the position you will line manage our Engineering Assessor team. This includes Engineering, Motor Vehicle, Land Based Engineering, Plant and Construction Maintenance.
You will ensure that their assessment practice is both effective and efficient, meeting quality standards, and that we are providing a fantastic experience to all of our apprentices. You will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the delivery of outstanding timely achievement rates and progression opportunities for students, as well as helping us to continue to grow our offer.
To apply for this role you will ideally have experience from working in a similar position, have experience within Engineering (either Mechanical or Electronic) and hold your Assessors Award qualification. You will have working knowledge of the new Engineering Standards and how these are delivered. You will be highly organised and will be capable of planning and prioritising a varied workload.
You will also have previous line management experience and have the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve their goals. You will be a strong communicator and be able to engage our students, your team and external stakeholders alike.
It is essential that you can demonstrate an understanding of the importance of quality at work and it would be advantageous for you to have knowledge of funding streams in the further education sector.
