Hours: 25 - 32.5 hours per week within school hours (to be negotiated)

Salary: Grade 3, Points 5-6 (actual salary £10,909 - £14,791 per annum)
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and organised technician to work within our art department. This role will involve ensuring facilities are set up to ensure the successful delivery of lessons and providing technical support to staff and students. This will include preparing equipment and materials to support the running of lessons and ensuring we have adequate stocks of faculty specific materials to support teaching and learning. As part of this role you will also be required to provide technical assistance during the GCSE art/photography examinations and to assist with the presentation of art work for the annual Year 11 art exhibition.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about art and have an excellent working knowledge of the different types of media used by the department as well as being highly skilled in their use. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to providing a high level of service to staff and students and who can show flexibility, reliability and great organisational skills.
The ideal candidate will have:
- An excellent working knowledge of art and design materials & techniques
- Knowledge sufficient to understand the school’s curriculum requirements
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with staff and pupils
