eTeach are currently shortlisting on behalf of St James' Church of England Junior School. They are recruiting for an ASD Teaching Assistant to join them immediately. This position will be temp to perm for the right candidate.

Do you have experience working with children with a range of special educational needs?
Are you ready to make a real difference in helping pupils to achieve their full potential?
If so then we would love to hear from you.
The day to day schedule will involve working closely with a pupil with ASD. This particular child does experience difficulties in the classroom and will need support to engage in the curriculum. Supporting the teacher with the day to day running of schedules and general duties is also required. You will also be comfortable working in one-to-one and in group settings with ASD children.
The ideal candidate should have experience working with children that have Autism, as well as have experience in dealing with challenging behaviour. Primary, especially Lower KS2 curriculum knowledge is preferable as is a relevant qualification. Also, ideally you would have experience with Speech and language interventions, PECs and Makaton.
