Hours: 40 hours per week -| Term Time plus 8 days
Start Date: Autumn Term 2021
Salary: Grade 6, Points 15-18 (Actual salary £24,688 - £26,878)
We are looking to appoint a skilled and experienced Assistant Head of Year to provide an exceptional level of pastoral support to our students. The successful candidate will support the Head of Year with an assigned year group to establish high standards of achievement, behaviour and attendance and to ensure students meet core expectations at Orchard Mead Academy. We want to help our students to build confidence and inspire them to reach their goals. You will work to remove welfare barriers to learning and provide Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead support for your assigned year group.
The ideal candidate will be patient, caring and supportive while remaining resilient and will be able to deal sensitively with vulnerable students and their families. We are looking for an individual who has experience of working effectively with children and young people in a learning environment and an awareness of child protection issues.
